Tens Bintan Fishermen can't go to the sea due to Minister Susi's Regulation 
BATAM - Dozens of fishing boats and fishermen in Tanjungpinang, Bintan, Riau Islands cease operations due to the application of the Regulation of the Minister of Marine and Fisheries No. 56 to 58 in 2015.  "Almost all vessels fish in Tanjung Pinang and Bintan inoperative caused by the ban on the use of fishing gear," said a member of the Regional Representatives Council of Indonesia Riau Islands electoral district, Haripinto in a recess in Batam report on Sunday.
Usually fishermen's catch of Bintan Island operates in Natuna Sea and Arafura. However, now ship only docked at the pier.
"Fishermen are very difficult with the stipulation Regulation of the Minister 56 to 58 and the policy of the Minister of Marine and Fisheries," said Haripinto on his recess's report
Karimun fishermens also experienced the same thing.
Fishing vessels  in the district opposite of Johor Malaysia was also stalled in the dock, because of difficulties at the sea.
Meanwhile, in contrast to Bintan, Tanjungpinang and Karimun, Batam City fishermen did not feel affected by the Regulation of the Minister of Marine and Fisheries.
Chairman of the Indonesian Fishermen Association Batam Awang Herman said, fishermen Batam wouldn't catching fish using trawerl. But only with ordinary nets.
" Regulation of the Minister of Marine and Fisheries did not affect us. We would not demo like fishermens in other areas. I assure you, the fishermens in Batam is conducive," he said.
"The sea is wide, we do not need to use the trawler." he said.
In line with HNSI, Head of Marine, Fisheries, Agriculture and Forestry Batam Suhartini also ensure there is no fishing in the city who have fished using trawler.
He said fishermen in Batam not get to the bottom of the sea, but only netted at the surface.
